We answer the call to action when a need arises

At Sparta Gourmet, we believe that building a better future means investing in our community and working together to bring improvement and advancement.

The philosophy of offering to our community starts from our own family, as we undertook entirely (at our own expense) the construction of the building of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Sparta, a state-of-art higher education facility providing public university education to thousands of students nationally and locally.

In collaboration with the local community, we have funded clean-up initiatives with schools.

We donated a much-needed ambulance, COVID personal protection supplies and testing machinery (molecular analyzers) to our local hospital, the General Hospital of Lakonia in Sparta.

We provide food products to organizations such as the local geriatric care facilities, churches, and charities, from our own products and from other local businesses we purchase from to assist in holiday meals, the operation of food kitchens and overall support of the neediest of our community.

We provide continued education for both employees and producers as a long-term dedication to the land and its people: Free educational seminars and programming to increase adoption of best practices and improved outcomes.

Finally, we are proud to work with more than 1,500 local producers, purchasing their product with public pricing mechanisms and immediate payments for increased financial empowerment and choice, enabling them to provide for their families and their businesses.

With recorded public pricing, we have changed the local operation of our industry, requiring quicker payments to producers and higher prices through transparency.

1,500 producers, 1,500 families of our community who live better through our efforts.

OUR COMMITMENTS FOR THE YEARS AHEAD

We are committed to creating value for Greece and Lakonia, the region where we operate, by investing in local production and employment, product quality and sustainable development, and by making a decisive contribution to society, giving people the opportunity to stay and create their future here.

So we will continue to offer local employment, on-going education for both employees and producers, with free training seminars to increase the adoption of best practices and improved outcomes, as a long-term commitment to our land and its people.

At the same time, we will further develop our cooperation with selected organizations, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations and other partners, to contribute and address the challenges our community and industry faces, through the development of effective actions in the 3 pillars: Environment, People, Community.
